James Gunn Will Slow Debunking DCU Rumors, Here’s Why

For months now, james gunn has been open about most things DC Universe on Twitter. However, Gunn recently said he will no longer comment on every DCU rumor that pops up.

Why isn’t James Gunn responding to DCU rumors anymore?

Taking to Twitter over the weekend, Gunn – who is co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran – said he would start to “slow down” calling what he calls “bulls – rumors” about DC. According to Gunn, one of the reasons he’s doing this is because he found out people were making up stuff to get feedback from him, and he doesn’t want to be part of that process anymore.

The other reason he won’t comment on as many DCU rumors, Gunn said, is that he’s currently scripting Superman: Legacy and doesn’t have much time to comment on everything these days. Previously, Gunn has been very open about events in the DC Universe, addressing casting rumors, character news, and more.

The first phase of DC Universe, Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a slew of different movies and TV shows. Some of the announced projects include Superman: Legacy, a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bold, a Supergirl movie called Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing movie, and several TV shows.
